Stephen Edlmann

Stephen is a former top-ranked leader of the capital markets and banking practices of Linklaters LLP, with a long-standing reputation as advisor of choice to leading FTSE 100 companies and major investment banks. More recently, he developed and began the implementation of Ashurst LLP’s worldwide debt capital markets strategy, as well as managing its Italian practice from Milan. He has an interest in special educational needs and disability provision and has been the Governor at several schools with Special Needs programmes. He is Chairman of the Wells Cathedral Trust and the King's School Bruton Foundation, both in Somerset and a Trustee of Encompass Care, a charity serving clients with learning difficulties and mental health issues in the south west of England. Stephen is also a Non-Executive Director of City & Continental Ltd, an established regulated institutional fixed income broker, which provides a wide range of services on funding for social and commercial enterprises, with particular experience in housing, care and education and general expertise in socially responsible finance.
