Do I need a work permit to work for the British Asian Trust?
The British Asian Trust is required by law to ensure that all of our staff have the legal right to work in the country that they are employed in.
What is the deadline when applying for a position?
The deadline for all posts is midnight on the advertised closing date unless otherwise specified on the job advert. You will not be able to submit an application after this time.
What do you look for in a candidate?
While it varies by position, we expect our applicants to:
- Have a strong passion for our mission and a desire to make a significant impact within a dynamic nonprofit organization.
- Be a proactive and innovative thinker who delivers results and drives positive change.
- Demonstrate a high level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness.
- Embrace diversity and show a commitment to collaboration.
What is the recruitment process like?
We aim to create a thoughtful and efficient recruiting process that allows both British Asian Trust and candidates to make the right decision
The interview process varies depending on the country and position, but generally includes the following steps:
- A phone conversation with short-listed candidates with one of British Asian Trust’s recruiters
- A first-round interview, either virtually or in person with a panel of colleagues from the relevant function
- A final round panel interview with either the country or functional head and at least one other senior member of staff.
- As part of the interview process, you may be asked to prepare a presentation or complete a short assignment that is relevant to the role you are applying for.
We receive a large volume of applicants per role and regretfully will only be able to respond to candidates who are short-listed.
How long does the recruiting process take?
From the last date of receiving applications, the process usually takes 4 to 6 weeks. However, unexpected delays can occur, and we will keep all shortlisted candidates updated on any delays.
Will I hear back if I’m not successful?
Due to the high volume of applications, we regret that we cannot provide personalised responses to each applicant. However, once you are contacted by a member of the British Asian Trust recruiting team, we will inform you of the outcome at each stage of your process.
I’m interested in a number of positions on your website, can I apply to more than one?
You are welcome to apply for as many positions as you would like, and we’ll review your application for each position individually. If your qualifications match our job description for a particular position, we’ll reach out to schedule an interview.
Are your roles remote, hybrid, or on-site?
