Beth Fotheringham
Beth is the fundraising assistant at British Asian Trust, supporting our philanthropy efforts and providing admin and events support.
She is currently completing her Master’s in Development Studies at SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies), and has a Bachelor’s in English Literature from Durham University.
Alongside her studies, Beth has volunteered for Akshara Centre in Mumbai, a women’s charity focused on education and empowerment, and has carried out programmes and development internships with Sahiyo, an NGO supporting survivors of female genital mutilation and empowering South Asian communities. She also established and led her college feminist society and has been involved in various other women’s rights organisations.
