Gangamma Madappa
Gangamma has spent the last eight years of her 13-year career in the development sector, with stints across child protection, livelihood development and civic journalism.
Before joining the British Asian Trust, she led the institutional fundraising vertical at Childline India Foundation and designed new programmes to bridge gaps in the child protection practice. She has also worked with Industree Foundation, where she mobilised resources from a diverse pool of funders in multilateral organisations, government departments, foundations, corporate CSR and MFIs to build ecosystems to ensure sustainable livelihoods for artisans.
Her foray into fundraising started at Oorvani Foundation, where she was crowdfunding manager and a journalist for the hyperlocal online news publication, Citizen Matters.
