Maheen Fahim
Maheen is an accomplished professional with a Master’s degree in Psychology and seven years of experience in the social sector. She began her career providing counselling and therapy to children with behavioural difficulties before shifting her focus to program management within non-government organisations (NGOs).
For the past three and a half years, Maheen has been instrumental at Taskeen, where she specialises in programme management and the implementation of mental health initiatives in low-income communities throughout Pakistan. Her work involved improving access to mental health resources, leading community awareness initiatives, and providing training for teachers to better support their students’ mental well-being. Additionally, she is skilled in monitoring and evaluating programmes to ensure their effectiveness and sustainability. Maheen’s dedication and expertise significantly contribute to advancing mental health advocacy in underserved communities.
Within British Asian Trust, Maheen is responsible for the assessment and evaluation of programme implementation in the mental health field increasing awareness of mental health around Pakistan. She particularly aims to increase mental health access and awareness in marginalised communities and beyond.
