Mrinmoy Sarkar
Mrinmoy joined the British Asian Trust in July 2021 as a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Manager for ongoing projects in India. He is primarily responsible for executing the M&E system and processes for our Prevention of Trafficking Model and provide technical inputs towards other child protection initiatives. He will play a key role in strategic planning, building evidence of the model and supporting the programme development teams.
Mrinmoy has been working in the development sector for over 13 years with interest and expertise in programming, M&E, research and communication. Previously, he has worked with Tata Trusts, Action Aid, Magic Bus India Foundation and Hummingbird Foundation in the realms of mental health, human rights, inclusive education, child protection and trafficking. He was engaged in the upgradation and upscaling of various interventions with socially excluded and dispossessed communities across India, Nepal and Bangladesh. He has also contributed as a Sate Resource Person (Department of Women & Child Development, Social Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal) in trainings of Child protection committees under ICPS programme. He was also involved in designing communication programmes on issues of gender equality, mental health and child rights.
Mrinmoy holds a first class M.Sc degree in Applied Psychology from University of Calcutta. He likes fine arts and avant-garde filmmaking.
