Nibedita Hatibaruah
Nibedita completed her undergraduate degree from the Lady Shri Ram College for Women with a specialisation in Political Science. She did her M.A. in Development Studies from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.
In 2021, she was awarded the Chevening Scholarship which enabled her to study Master of Public Policy (MPP) at the London School of Economics and Political Science. She has 8 years of work experience in the development sector ranging from the grassroots to pan India scale in both public and private sectors.
Nibedita started her career implementing a World Bank funded community development project at the block level in rural Rajasthan under the aegis of the Ministry of Rural Development. She has worked closely with the community as well as with the government to achieve project outcomes, which included enhancing financial inclusion and financial literary of rural women and promoting micro entrepreneurship through the Self-Help Group (SHG) model.
She has also worked at the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under the aegis of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship where she managed the operations and performance monitoring of over 700 Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras (PMKKs)- a flagship Skill India initiative. Her latest stint was with the Sattva Consulting where she led several projects across the sectors of gender, urban, agriculture, G20, international development, etc. Some of her key skills include program management, multistakeholder engagement, implementation and government relations.
