Shireen Vakil

Shireen Vakil has over 25 years' of experience in social development and is an authority on child protection and child development. Most recently, Shireen was Head of Safety policy for the Asia Pacific region at Meta providing expertise in the areas of online child protection; women’s safety and youth mental health and well-being. Her previous roles include the Head of Policy and Advocacy at the Tata Trusts, and the Director of Advocacy, Campaigns, and Communications at Save the Children. Shireen comes with strong experience in strategy development, building multi-stakeholder partnerships, and addressing national and global issues with governments, donors, civil society, and the private sector. She has appeared and written on a spectrum of child rights and gender issues in national and international media.
