Tom Lawson

Tom joined the British Asian Trust in June 2023 as Senior Programme Fundraising Manager to help manage and grow the organisation’s invaluable partnerships with institutional global funders. He has over a decade of experience in the charitable sector, working with large charitable organisations dedicated to ensuring that children and young people have the education and skills they need to fulfil their potential regardless of their background or socio-economic circumstances. He has been responsible for securing large multi-year grants from a diverse range of sources, including UK and EU governments, trusts and foundations and corporate partnerships.

Tom is deeply interested in global development of education, skills-based training and holds a BA in Modern History from the University of Essex where his studies were focused on the impact of race and colonial expansion in the US, Africa and South Asia.
