Eshrat Waris

With over a decade in the climate tech and development industries, Eshrat has played a pivotal role in integrating technology with community-based strategies to create lasting social impact.  As Director of Product and Business at SOLshare, she navigated the company through significant strategic shifts, expanded its market and enhanced its influence. In her earlier roles at BRAC and the World Bank, she made notable contributions to projects that improved livelihoods, governance and entrepreneurship initiatives.

Eshrat holds an MBA from MIT Sloan, an MA in International Economics and Development from Johns Hopkins SAIS, and a BA (Hons) in Politics and International Studies from Warwick University.   She has received several prestigious fellowships, including the Acumen Fellowship. She is a speaker on climate innovation, focusing on the challenges of energy transition for frontier markets.
