Konnie Huq
Konnie Huq is a British Bangladeshi broadcaster and writer. She is also a Prince’s Trust and Kew Gardens ambassador. Having presented on the BBC flagship show Blue Peter for over ten years and now a mother of two, Konnie has recently written a series of books about a British Bangladeshi girl called Cookie keen on science - another passion of Konnie’s.
The British Asian Trust is a fantastic initiative helping those less fortunate than ourselves in the Asian Sub-continent. Helping tackle poverty, health and education, the trust’s work has transformed many lives. Where we are born and what we are born into is a lottery, it’s imperative to help those worse off than ourselves.
