Rahul Dravid
Celebrated cricketer Rahul Dravid is the best No. 3 batsman to play for India.
He is the second Indian batsman and the third international player to have scored more than 12,000 runs in Test cricket. He became the sixth player in history and the third Indian to score 10,000 runs in ODI cricket in 2007. Known as ‘the Wall’ for his ability to bat for long durations, Rahul was captain of the Indian team from 2005-2007 when he led series victories in England and the West Indies for the first time in a generation. While he was captain, Rahul’s team participated in the India-Pakistan cricket match in Glasgow that raised the funds that launched The British Asian Trust.
Rahul was awarded Wisden Cricketer of the Year, ICC Player of the Year and Test Player of the Year. He holds many world records including highest number of catches in Test cricket. He is also the first and only batsman to score a century in all 10 Test playing nations. Involved in more than 80 century partnerships with 18 different partners, Rahul has also engaged in 19 century partnerships with Sachin Tendulkar — another world record.
