Camille Nehme
Hi, my name is Camille.
I am French, married with two young children, and have been living in the UK for the last 19 years.
Since I came here, I have always admired how people in the UK push themselves, sometimes beyond their limits, to support a good cause and raise funds. I also value the generosity of the ones who give money for these causes. It creates a virtuous dynamic. The system in France is quite different, we are not used to that.
I have adhered to that approach and have been trying to bring my little contribution in raising some money through running a marathon or cycling.
There are so many causes that deserve to be considered to help people in need. The British Asian Trust is one of them, with the mission to reduce poverty and disadvantage for communities in South Asia. Also I had the opportunity to visit this part of the world many times, so it makes even more sense to me to contribute to this particular event. I am glad to bring, with empathy, my little contribution to make underprivileged lives in South Asia a little better. On top of that, in a fantastic atmosphere and scenery since we will discover the British countryside.
I am grateful to participate in this event and look forward to your support.
Thanks and regards,
Camille
